Description

Historically a leading cultivar in the Great Lakes region. This fresh eating Prune Plum ripens early, late August and is also good for processing, canning, preserves & drying. The fruit is large, sweet, rich, juicy & fine grained with thickly bloomed dark blue skin and greenish-yellow freestone flesh. Tree is annually productive, is a great pollenizer and is self-fertile. It was developed by the New Yok State Experiment Station. Flesh turns purplish red when canned.
