Keeps well on the vine. Has odd trait of being foxy and very American in character some years then very firm and meaty like European vinifera in other years. First black seedless variety. This seedless Grape is also good for wine, jelly & table. The fruit is extremely high-quality, with thin smooth skinned, sweet, spicy, fine textured, with highly flavored flesh. Berries are small-medium blue-black with flesh similar to the yellow-fleshed Himrod. Clusters are medium-large, loose, heavy & well-filled. Tree is medium, is highly vigorous, is resistant to mildew and is a cross between Ontario and Russian Seedless. It originated in Geneva Station, New York, 1976. Seedless.
