Also called NY981, this Aug-Sept season, fresh eating Prune Plum is freestone and is also good for canning & drying. The fruit is large, crisp & very sweet with red-blue skin and yellow flesh. Tree is not self-fertile and is a cross between Italian Prune and Prinlew. It has good. Resistant to cracking disease resistance. It originated in Geneva, New York, 1937.
