Description
They become red like a quince when cooked. This ancient Pear ripens very late and is also good for heirloom & cooking. The fruit is very large and may weigh two to three pounds. These are coarse in form, texture & flavor. Tree is heavily. It was mentioned by Pliny. This variety is a triplod and therefore pollen sterile.
