Description
A high quality pear. Good pollinator. The fruit of this cold hardy Pear is mediium, rich, sweet, resembles Seckel. It’s a golden russet with ripe. The flesh smooth & buttery with no detectable grit. Tree is resistant to Fire Blight and is Partial (smaller fruit size). It is a cross between Seckel and US 220 (Vermont Beauty x Roi Charles De Wurtemburg). It originated in Indiana, 1977. Super-sweet fruit with a rich, spicy flavor and exceptional quality. Honeysweet is one of the few pear trees that is self-pollinating. Honeysweet Pears ripen on the tree in late August and keep well in storage.
