Description
Ripe fruit holds on tree for two months or more, longer than any other stone fruit. This late season Japanese Plum is also called Emerald Beauty. The fruit is greenish-yellow changing to orange when fully ripe that continues to sweeten & becomes exceptionally sweet with flesh remaining crisp and crunchy. and may taste like a pluot, but it’s all plum. Tree is vigorous, has an upright habit and requires 600-700 chill hours. It was developed by Floyd Zaiger. It continues to sweeten, becoming exceptionally sweet, but it remains crisp and crunchy! Highly rated in blind fruit tastings. May not fully ripen in cool summer areas.
