Can be used unblended for a cider that has a knife like acidty and a high alcohol content. This late season, cider Apple is also good for fresh eating, juice & cooking. The fruit is considered one of the best flavored apples there is, pairing intense, honeyed sweetness with racy & gum-searing acidity. Tree is moderately vigorous. Good keeper. It was introduced in 1700s. This variety is a triplod and therefore pollen sterile.
