Description
Also called Foch, this short growing season, red wine Hybrid Grape ripens early Sept and is also good for juice. The fruit is bluish black in small clusters that makes cherry flavored fresh juice. Vine is outstanding and has good disease resistance. It is a cross between Goldriesling and Millardet et Grasset 101-14. It was developed by Eugène Kuhlmann and named after a French World War I Marshal. Grows well in sandy soils, but may need grafting for use in heavier soil types. Makes a Burgundy-type red wine without blending. USDA Hardiness Zones: 5. Favorite of Nick Botner. 2016 Eugene Fruit Show Favorite 2016.
