Saskatoon Serviceberry species description: The fruit of this August to October season Saskatoon Serviceberry is Excellent sweet flavor with hints of apple, blueberry & and almond. Tree is self-fertile, is moderately vigorous and blooms mid spring with white flowers. It has an upright habit, rounded, is drought tolerant and is used for erosion control. USDA Hardiness Zones: 2-10. Excellent Edible Native Shrub.
