The fruit is a Morello-type & firmer than most tart cherries with bright red skin, flesh, and juice. Tree blooms late, is productive, is self-fertile and has medium vigor. It is resistant to cracking, canker (somewhat) & brown rot (somewhat). It has Borchert Black Sour × NY 6935 (Richmorency x Schattenmorelle) genetics. It has an upright habit and open and wide-angled habit that is both easy to maintain and well suited for U-pick production. It’s from the Cornell breeding station. Problem free.
