Description
One of the most cold hardy of any Asian persimmons and is a naturally dwarf tree growing to only 10 feet in height. It is prized for its delicious flavor and attractive form. Bears abundant crops of bright orange fruit that can be eaten while firm, like an apple, or allowed to soften to a tomato-like texture when it is even sweeter. This non-astringent Asian Persimmon is also called Ichi Ki Kei Jiro. Tree has low vigor and is a sport (bud mutation) of Jiro. Also called Ichikikei Jiro.
