Description
This plum is firm and well suited for retail. Also called Blue Imperatrice, this very late season, processing Prune Plum is also good for cakes, tarts, preserves, drying, salads, stuffings, soaked in brandy & pureed. The fruit is large, elliptical, semi-cling & high-quality with waxy bloomed purple skin and dense greenish-yellow flesh. Tree is not self-fertile and is a cross between President and Emily. It is medium-sized and has an upright habit with a nice open crown. Keeps well.
